  • Rattan lightweight and practical arrangements
  • Flexible nature so easily formed.
  • Can be created with other materials such as water hyacinth, bamboo or panda-nus.

Besides the advantages mentioned above, cane also has a weakness among others vulnerable to changes in weather, termites and moisture.

Now that this deficiency does not damage your wicker accessory conditions then do regular maintenance in the following way:

  • Rattan furniture can not bear to watch the weather change placement, better place for indoor wicker furniture.
  • Wherever possible avoid the cane from the water, because moisture can make rattan decayed and fragile. What if exposed to water already? Immediately dry with a dry rag. If necessary dried until dry.
  • Avoid using chemicals. Simply clean the rattan accessories with a dry cloth. Instead of chemicals to damage the paint and coating melamine on furniture.
  • There is no harm in re-finishing is also done in order to stay shiny wicker furniture. Re finishing usually done every one or two years.
  • Last threat is termites. To avoid termites, spray a mixture of camphor solution and kerosene. If there are small holes on the accessory body, the same fluid injections into these holes.
